DO YOUR PART. THEN GET OUT OF THE WAY.
There is a particular exhaustion that comes from believing
everything depends on you.
Every door.
Every dollar.
Every answer.
Every next step.
So we push harder.
Grip tighter.
Stay up later.
As though the universe were a stubborn machine that might finally surrender
if we pulled the lever hard enough.
But there comes a moment
when effort becomes interference.
Because a clenched hand can't receive.
YOU HAVE A JOB TO DO:
Show up.
Make the call.
Write the page.
Tell the truth.
Do the work that belongs to you.
But then...
leave some room.
There are forces moving that you can't see from here.
Ideas that haven't arrived yet.
People making decisions that will one day intersect with your life.
This isn't passivity.
It's participation without the arrogance of believing you must control the whole universe.
Plant the seed.
Water it.
Pull the weeds.
And then, for heaven’s sake, stop digging it up every morning to see whether it’s working.
Some things grow underground.
Some answers need darkness.
And some roads only appear after you’ve walked far enough to see around the bend.
Do what's yours.
Then loosen your grip.
Go make dinner.
Walk outside.
Love somebody.
Laugh.
Sleep.
Let the great machinery of life turn without your supervision.
You are not creating alone.
Give Source something to do.
