Leave a Little Room

There comes a time when the life we've built around our understanding of ourselves begins to feel a little small.

The opinions we've defended.

The conclusions we've reached.

The familiar explanations for why things are the way they are.

We've lived inside these ideas for so long that we've begun to mistake them for the walls of the world.

But maybe they're only the walls of a room we've grown accustomed to.

And maybe there's a whole lot more fresh air outside.

Consider how much of your life is organized around things you've decided are true.

What you're capable of.

What love requires.

How money works.

What people are like.

What someone your age can reasonably expect from the years ahead.

Some of these beliefs have served you beautifully. Others were assembled long ago, when you were smaller, frightened, and trying to make sense of a world you didn't yet understand.

And now here you are, carrying them into a future that hasn't even happened.

What if you didn't have to bring everything with you?

Imagine opening the windows of a house that's been closed for years.

The air moves.

The curtains lift.

The whole mood of your experience expands.

This is what curiosity can do.

It interrupts the certainty of the familiar.

And suddenly the question isn't whether you were right about your life.

It's whether you're willing to discover something more.

Because manifestation asks something extraordinary of us.

To become available to a reality we haven't yet experienced.

And that means allowing our understanding of ourselves to grow beyond the evidence of yesterday.

You don't have to know who you'll become.

You don't have to dismantle every belief you've ever held.

Just leave a little room to wonder: What if?

For a desire you didn’t see coming.

For the possibility that Source has something in mind you haven’t yet imagined.

And for the unfinished human being still emerging from everything that has tested, changed, and shaped you.

TODAY'S PRACTICE

Find one thing about yourself you've decided is settled.

I'm just not that kind of person.

It's too late for me.

I've always been this way.

And ask:

What if there's more to me than I've allowed myself to discover?

Then resist the temptation to answer.

Let the question open something.

Because you will be a work in progress right up to your last breath.

Don't rush it. You haven't finished yet.
